Week of 4/7

This week begins our practices for the 2014-15 season! We will be practicing every Tuesday (4-4:45) and Thursday (4-5:30) until school is out. Practices will be held in the Auditorium foyer (the hallway). Reminder if you are participating in a spring sport at Park Hill, you are excused from these practices unless the other activity is cancelled for any reason. If your son/daughter will not be able to attend any practice, you will need to let one of the coaches know ASAP. Also, if you know of any absences (or partial absences) throughout the remainder of the school year or summer, please email those to me so that I will have that in writing. I know a few of you came up to myself or one of the other coaches at the meeting, but if you could send those dates through email I would appreciate it! PHYSICALS: If your son/daughter will need a new physical for the 2014-15 season, the district will be holding pre-participation sports physicals at Park Hill South on Saturday, April 19th from 9am-3pm. The cost is $20 (see attached flyer for more details). I have attached the MSHSAA “Pre-Participation Physical Evaluation Form” as well if you would like to print this off to fill out prior to the examination. CAMP DEPOSIT: If you have not paid the camp deposit ($100), this will need to be turned in to one of the coaches ASAP in order for your son/daughter to attend. PINK POMS

There has seem to be some confusion regarding the pink poms. The pink poms were purchased by the school and not you personally. The pink poms were purchased for use year after year by all Park Hill Cheerleaders. Therefore, I need all cheerleaders to bring their set of pink poms to Ms. Simon or Ms. Lubinski on Monday, March 24, 2014. Thank you and sorry for the confusion.

UPDATE WEEK OF 3/10

Cheer events this week: - Wednesday 3/12 – Game 4:45 PM vs. Lee’s Summit West at Independence Events Center o Bus leaves PHHS at 3:45 PM o To school cheerleaders should wear black uniform, option to wear warm up pants, hair in low pony, PH bow, cheer shoes o To the game cheerleaders should wear black uniform, hair low pony, PH bow REMINDER: even if you are not cheering on the sidelines and are sitting on the bench you are still part of the team and MUST be in full uniform at the game and at school. General Announcements: - If the boys lose on Wednesday we will collect CLEAN uniforms on Thursday 3/13 immediately after school in Room 515 (Coach Simon’s room). If you cannot have the uniforms washed by then, Coach Simon and Coach Lubinski will be at school all day Friday and you can drop off the uniforms then. We want to have all uniforms handed in before tryouts. Please bring them in a bag with cheerleader’s name on it. Uniforms include: o Warm up jackets o Red uniform o Midrift top that goes under red uniform o Black uniform o Pink poms - Tryouts will be the week after spring break – March 24th -27th, more details to come this week - Someone left a pair of black gloves with leopard print cuffs at the banquet. District Finals

GAME TONIGHT IS ON! :)

The game tonight is still on and we still will be meeting at the high school at 4:30pm to catch the bus to Staley. I know some of the cheerleaders were unable to make it due to spring sport tryouts, however those were cancelled. Therefore, if you are still unable to make it for a prior commitment outside of school please reply back to this email so we can keep track of who will be missing tonight.
