CAR WASH AND MORE

Reminder that our carwash fundraiser will be this SATURDAY, MAY 31st at Sheridan’s on Barry Rd. from 1-4pm.  All cheerleaders are expected to attend, so if you are unable to make it please let me know ASAP.  Parents are welcome to join in as well!

Our summer practices will start this coming Monday, June 2nd.  We will be meeting in the lower gym at 5:30am every morning, Monday-Thursday.  Tuesday and Thursday will have an additional night practice from 7-9pm in the lower gym as well.  DO NOT BE LATE TO THESE PRACTICES…we have a lot to work on!  Also remember, each cheerleader will be allowed 4 absences throughout the summer practices.  Each practice counts as 1 miss.  Unless your vacation has been cleared by the coaches back in April, those days will count as a miss.  Keep in mind that besides the weekend of choreography, you will have 3-day weekends, the off week of June 29-July 5, as well as 2 weeks off after regionals to travel if you choose to do so.

FUNDRAISER:  This Saturday, May 31st, will be our carwash fundraiser at Sheridan’s on Barry Rd. from 1-4pm.  Please let me know as soon as possible if you are unable to attend.  If you would like to help with this event, please contact Angel Reno.  We will need people to help make posters for this, so if you are interested please let myself or Angel know.  Her email is hevnajr@gmail.com .

Update 5/19/2014

Big thank you to those who attended the UCA Stunt Clinic on Saturday!  We were able to improve our technique and learn some cool stunts as well! 
The next cost that will be due is for bows on June 2.  In the meantime, please make sure you go out and buy a black racer back sports bra, white no-show socks, black spanks (if you do not already have them).  We will not need the black midriff as stated on the approximate cost sheet.  

FUNDRAISER:  Orders will be delivered at tomorrow’s practice.  If you will be absent, please have someone pick up your orders for you. 
Carwash!---Please mark your calendars for our next fundraiser on May 31st.  We will be hosting a car wash at Sheridan’s on Barry Rd. from 1-4pm.  Please let me know as soon as possible if you are unable to attend.  If you would like to help with this event, please contact Angel Reno.

SPONSORSHIPS:  Your group should have visited the assigned businesses. Please make sure you have followed up with the places that needed more time to make a decision.  Remember this is a great (and inexpensive) way for businesses to advertise from June until February!  Money received from sponsorships will help to cut down on the amount of entire squad fundraising throughout the season.

Weekly Update 5/12

Remember that the camp balance ($200) and the money for camp clothes ($80) were both due, May 6th at practice.  If you have not paid this please hand it in ASAP.  Also tomorrow the payment for cheer shoes ($60) and backpack ($40) are due.    If you are unable to attend practice (and have let one of us know ahead of time), please bring the money by room 515 tomorrow at school or parents if you feel more comfortable please drop it by the front office with Coach Simon’s or Coach Baker’s name on it. 

FUNDRAISER:  These are processing.  Pick up for the fundraising is next week. 

UCA STUNT CLINIC: The stunt clinic will be held on Saturday, May 17th from 12:30-5pm at Liberty High School.  The cost is $25 per cheerleader and will be due during registration the day of the clinic.  Please let me know ASAP if you are unable to attend.

SUMMER SCHEDULE: The summer schedule is always up-to-date on our blog (www.parkhillcheer.blogspot.com).  We did hand out a paper copy last Thursday, however make sure you are keeping that up to date with what is on the website, as times and events are subject to change.

SPONSORSHIPS:  We should be wrapping up our outings for receiving sponsorships.  We would like to have these by Thursday, May 15. Make sure you have followed up with a business.     Remember this is a great (and inexpensive) way for businesses to advertise from June until February!  Money received from sponsorships will help to cut down on the amount of entire squad fundraising throughout the season.

Camp treat/snack bags – Tuesday, June 17th 7pm
Parents are asked to bring small treat/snack items (26) - examples: Granola bars, water bottles, Gatorade bottles, trail mix, candy, nuts, jerky, crackers.  Bags will be assembled at the Parent Group meeting and distributed the morning the bus leaves for camp.

Team Bonding Events:  We will talk about these at practice, but if the team bonding event is an extra cost we strongly encourage the girls to attend, if there is no extra cost it is mandatory for the girls to attend.

FUNDRAISER: The order forms for the cookie dough fundraiser are due this Thursday, May 8th at practice.  Make sure you have the money for each order with you.  Keep selling—the more you sell, the more money you will have to help lower the cost of cheer this season!  If you need another order form, stop by room 515 to pick one up.
