Practices have started! :)


JV/Varsity:   After further discussion, JV will not be competing this year. Therefore, on the calendar it should state whether it is Varsity/JV , just Varsity, or just JV for events.  You may need to scroll over the event to see this.  

Fundraising: Our first fundraiser was discussed with the girls last night at practice. The fundraiser is due May 7 with money. I know it says May 8 on the paper, but we have practice May 7.  Delivery date for cookie dough will be Tuesday May 12. Each cheerleader is required to sell 5 products.  These first 5 will be a squad fundraiser.  The remainder of product that the girls will sell will go directly to their own accounts to help alleviate the cost of the year. 

Vacations:  Any vacations/ plans that will require to miss any practices including summer practices must be sent through an email to both coaches ASAP.  This will help us keep organized and know when you will not be here.  Keep in mind Varsity, if you miss practices over the summer it could possibly hinder competition in July. 

Summer Practices (Varsity): The summer practices have been added to the schedule. Remember these are mandatory for Varsity and optional for JV.  As of right now it does not look like we will have evening practices, however, we may need to add more practices before competition.  Practices will be every Monday-Thursday 6:30am-8:00am Varsity will have an off week June 29- July 5 this is mandatory for all athletics.  Varsity will also have an off week July 27- August 2.  Hopefully, this helps in planning summer vacations. 

JV PRACTICES- JV practices will start Monday July 27. We will be getting the girls ready for the Fall Season.    Once again JV is more than welcome to come to Varsity’s summer practices. 

Camp Deposit: The camp deposit was due April 2, 2015.  If you have not paid this please send it with your daughter on April 21 or drop it off at the high school in an envelope with your cheerleaders name on it (Attn: Chelsea Simon/Cheerleading)

Varsity Clothing Items: If you have not been fitted for your Varsity clothing please email Coach Simon and I immediately.  We need to size you. I had several parents request more articles of clothing for their athletes.  If you would like more than one of each item please email Coach Simon or I asap.  We will then email our Varsity Rep and receive a new itemize list with an up-to-date cost sheet. 

Stunt Clinic:  We have changed the way we are going to pay for this stunt clinic.  Please bring a check for $25 made out to Park Hill Cheer by 4/30.  We will take a check to the clinic from PHHS to pay for the clinic.  Thank you for understanding.  If you are unable to attend the Stunt Clinic in Liberty on May 16 due to a scheduling conflict please notify the coaches immediately.  We need to give UCA a head count.

PHYSICALS:  If you will need a new physical for the 2015-16 season, the district will be holding pre-participation sports physicals at Park Hill South on Saturday, May 9th  from 1pm-3pm.  The cost is $20 (see attached flyer for more details).  I have attached the MSHSAA “Pre-Participation Physical Evaluation Form” as well if you would like to print this off to fill out prior to the examination.  Also attached to this email is the physical form if you wish to go to your own doctor.  ALL athletes must have a physical each calendar year.
